**Childhood Memories** is an exploration of memory as an act of excavation—a search beneath the layers of adulthood for fragments of a self that has been quietly buried by time. The series questions whether our earliest experiences ever truly disappear, or whether they continue to exist beneath consciousness, subtly shaping who we become. By reaching toward forgotten moments of solitary play, I revisit a world where nature was not separate from imagination but its living language. Leaves, insects, stones, and shifting shadows became companions, while invisible creatures emerged from the space between observation and fantasy. These imagined beings are not memories themselves, but traces of a way of seeing that existed before logic replaced wonder. Through symbolic forms that merge the organic and the imagined, the paintings become an attempt to recover what cannot be fully remembered—to give shape to emotions, sensations, and perceptions that resist language. The work suggests that childhood is not a place left behind, but a hidden landscape within us, waiting to be rediscovered through the quiet persistence of memory and imagination.
